This is a series of posts I will write at the end of each month to give you a quick sum up of all the books I read. August pulled me out of my reading slump. I re-read the Harry Potter series at the beginning of the year and was just having a really hard time getting back into anything else.
Y’all are probably laughing about this one but we got our German Shepherd mix, Remy, at the end of June and our trainer recommended this book. Honestly, every dog owner should be forced to read it.
I read Sharp Objects last year and shortly after bought Dark Places but it took me this long to read it. I love Gillian Flynn but this was a little slow to start. Great twist and kept me hooked once I got into it.
I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone who asks. The only reason it got 4 stars is because I just wanted more out of the ending
This was a joy to read from start to finish. A story of true heroism. I wanted to befriend every woman in this book. If you haven’t read it already, do it now.
Can someone help me understand why it took me so long to read this one? It was absolutely INCREDIBLE. It made me laugh, cry, and want to dance. What a well written piece of art. To be able to talk about such hard topics in a positive light, especially with what’s going on in our world right now, is truly inspiring.
This book blew my mind. So many twists and turns. I thought I had it all figured out and then, BAM, no you don’t. If you like psychological thrillers, I highly recommend this one.
